trip to the nurse

Today's Pooch Cafe'
Music: Georgia Satellites - Battleship Chains

I called my mom about my headaches and she said to go to the nurse, so I did just that after my afternoon class. She was a new nurse, or new to me, as she's not the nurse I saw this spring when my ovaries were trying to kill me.

She asked about stress in my life, if I was carrying too much in my backpack, and felt in my back for tension knots. She found a few and kinda tried to massage them out, while massaging other spots on my back to look for more tension knots. Felt pretty good. Of course my skin turned all bright red where she'd done that...probably didn't look that great. She said my skin had "hypersensitivity" or something like that. No big deal.

Then I told her about how I don't wear my contacts like I'm supposed to because the climate here is too dry and irritates my eyes, or how I forget to take them out at night and end up falling asleep in them and having bloodshot eyes in the mornings. She instantly concluded that this was the cause of my headaches, since they're just starting to attack right at the beginning of school. She asked if I ever wore glasses and I told her no, not even sunglasses when I drive because they mess with my periphreal (sp?) vision, and my nose is crooked so they sit on it funny and I can never get the nose pieces right...then she concluded that I may have a deviated septum. Sheesh. No more trips to the nurse for me. Although my insurance may pay to get that straightened if I ever so desired to have my nose broken so that it's more asthetically pleasing. Which I don't, so no big deal, it's not causing me any problems and never has before, so why should I need to do anything with it?

Anyway, enough of that. Gotta find out when Thanksgiving is and request it off so I can go see Wes again. And write up a paper on the concert I went to tonight, AND work on my index cards for the Bio test on Monday. Busy girl!
